How to Get a Real Estate License in Florida
Ready to start your real estate career in Florida? Follow these steps to become a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate.
1. Meet the Basic Requirements
To apply for a Florida real estate license, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a U.S. Social Security number
2. Complete the 63-Hour Pre-Licensing Course
Complete a 63-hour Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC)-approved Sales Associate pre-licensing course.

3. Submit Your License Application
Apply for your Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
